Modern reflexology is based on an ancient form of therapy. There is evidence of some form of foot and hand therapy being practised in China as long ago as 2330 B.C. and also at the same time in Egypt, as depicted in the tomb of Ankmahor.
Sweet Almond Oil is used to massage and palpate various points on each foot, which directly relate to organs within the body, revealing any imbalances or blockages in the body and kick-starting the body’s own healing mechanism.
Reflexology is excellent for stress, anxiety, depression, cancer, MS, pregnancy, fertility/IVF, insomnia, headaches, migraines, tinitus, RSI, boosting immunity, improving digestion, IBS, pre and post operations, back ache, arthritis, rheumatism and more.

What to expect when you come for a Reflexology treatment
Additional time is set aside on your first treatment for Sara to take your medical background. Following that you will be asked to remove your shoes and socks and lie on the treatment bed. You can either sit up or recline which ever is more comfortable for you. Sara will clean your feet with natural wet wipes and then cover the feet with Sweet Almond Oil. Sara uses massage techniques to relieve and revitalise your feet. The massage incorporates the base of the foot, the top of the foot, the ankle up to the calf, which can help to soften and moisturise tired and dry skin. The feet keep you grounded and this massage can help you re-connect with mother earth.
Background
Sara Proudfoot trained in 2000 at Essential Care Training College, London under the excellent tutelage of the Head of the School, Joyce West, who also worked with the Government to set up a Degree Course in Aromatherapy at Exeter University and Middlesex University. Sara has a Diploma in Reflexology with Distinction, accredited by the Reflexology Practitioners Association (RPA) and her Diploma in Holistic and Clinical Aromatherapy is accredited by the Aromatherapy and Allied Practitioners Association (AAPA). Joyce West has long since retired so the AAPA and RPA are no longer active and are now the Complementary Health Professionals.

Gift vouchers make a wonderful present for that special person in your life. The Gift Voucher can be purchased online or over the phone and you can pay directly by BACS or Credit Card over over the phone or Sara can send you a PayPal invoice. Once payment has been received the Gift Voucher will be sent to you by email or post or you can collect from the clinic in Uckfield. Gift Vouchers are valid for 6 months from date of issue.
